The carnival is colorful, loud and shrill. With the series "Carnival behind the scenes" I wanted to capture what you might not immediately associate with carnival. So I consciously moved behind the obvious and captured moments. I deliberately wanted to reduce it to black and white and bring a little silence into the series. Because in contrast to what happens in the tumult, my pictures were taken in quieter places.
