Cologne, the city I return to repeatedly — not to capture it, but to understand how it behaves.
The fascination lies in the city’s bleakness. It reveals nothing willingly; every image has to be earned through hard work. So, little by little, this reveals the soul of Cologne – beyond the dilapidated façades – the people and their interactions.
And that is precisely what I am exploring in my long-term project, and what makes it so fascinating.
