It had been a long time since we’d last had our regular get-together with Street Photography Cologne. Beforehand, I’d gone out for a spot of photography in Cologne.
In the evening, during a convivial get-together, the topic of why Cologne is so difficult to photograph came up. On the one hand, most people use colour; for me, Cologne is simply black and white because of its bleakness. On the other hand, you simply have to walk for ages and really work to find the subjects. Rarely does anything come easily here.
So, of course, I was delighted to be able to take this photo at the flea market on Neumarkt.
