I continued the last few days with the M and now the new 28 lens. The disadvantage of the short focal length is that you often can't physically get close enough quickly enough. So I had to do a bit more of cropping here. Personally, I have no problem with it. Ultimately, I prefer to crop rather than go out with a zoom lens or two cameras.
For me, the photography takes place before I pick up the camera to my eyes. In other words, for me photography is about seeing the subject and not turning the camera wheels. On top of that, I'm probably also a very sloppy photographer technically. I rarely don't care about the exact edges of the image, the 100% correct exposure or even whether I have set the lowest possible ISO. My cameras are usually set to Auto-Iso with a high value, shutter speed 1/500 or faster and I only turn the aperture (and the M on the focus ring). The current possibilities of lightroom enable such good post-processing of the files that I prefer to concentrate on the motif outside rather than on the optimal settings.
