This week, while strolling through Bonn, I was able to take one of my favorite pictures of the year. Unfortunately, I can't show it to you. Two elderly ladies were walking down the street with a walker, and the one in front had a dog on a leash, which was already pulling toward the other dog coming toward her. Her second dog was sitting on the walker in the "lookout" position, monitoring the scene from above. Then, in the background, another lady with a dog appeared. Of course, I had to capture it right away. When the lady spotted me, however, she came toward me very energetically, looking terrified. In the subsequent conversation, she told me that someone had posted a picture of her dogs on a sales platform, and she was having huge problems. And now she's always very anxious about her dogs. Whether the story is true or not isn't important to me. But the lady was so startled that I'm keeping the picture to myself, for tell the story just a little, little, little resolution and maybe I'll dig it up again many years from now.
…I just press the shutter...
