I took this picture at the Christmas market in Cologne. I saw this Santa Claus taking pictures with tourists right in front of the homeless man. Afterwards I went to him and gave him some money for him and his dog. I asked him if I could take another picture of his dog, to which he happily said yes.
I looked into a friendly, smiling face that didn't seem to show any bitterness.
Nevertheless, I remember the man for a long time and I was very impressed by his friendliness.
